Miranda Forsyth

Director

Miranda Forsyth is a Professor and socio-legal researcher at the School of Regulation and Global Governance (RegNet) at the Australian National University and Director of The International Network Against Accusations of Witchcraft and Associated Harmful Practices (INAWARA). 

Her research focuses on legal pluralism, restorative justice, crime and peace, with a particular emphasis on Melanesia.  Since 2013, she has led a research agenda on Overcoming Sorcery Accusation Related Violence in Papua New Guinea, contributing numerous articles and resources to the field. Currently, she holds an ARC Future Fellowship dedicated to Overcoming Violence and Building Peace in Conditions of Complexity in Papua New Guinea.
