Call for Applications: Funding to tackle Witchcraft Accusation and Associated Violence
INAWARA invites applications for small grants of £100-£500 (AUD $200- $1000) to fund grassroots initiatives to promote campaigns and advocacy against witchcraft accusation and associated violence, including ritual attacks.
Eligible projects:
We seek proposals for initiatives including, but not limited to, advocacy, community awareness, education, the development of resources, engagement with community leaders or policy makers, or creative approaches to shift public perceptions and reduce stigma faced by those accused of witchcraft using media, the arts, or digital platforms.
Who can apply?
We welcome applications from community-based organizations, human rights defenders, NGOs, faith-based groups, academics and researchers.
Eligible costs:
Grants will range from £100-£500 GBP / AUD $200-$1000), depending on the scale and impact of the proposed initiative.

Travel costs
Catering
Training of staff or volunteers
Costs associated with organisation of workshops or training sessions e.g. room hire
Printing, data, mobile phone credits, stationery
Media engagement
This funding is meant to kickstart initiatives and lay the groundwork for longer-term impact, so activities that have the potential to build momentum, and attract further funding or community support will be prioritised.
